The Bartow County Environmental Health Department visited the following establishments to conduct food service scores July 8-15:

APPLEBEE’S NEIGHBORHOOD BAR & GRILL (Food Service Inspections)

July 9, 2015 Score: 73, Grade: C

• Observed employee touching ready to eat foods with bare-hands.
• Observed employee drinking from an open beverage container on the kitchen line above and next to food. Discussed with PIC to have employee drinks with single service disposable cups with lid and straw with designated location.
• Observed food not being covered properly in walk-in cooler, reach-in cooler and dry storage. Went over proper food storage with PIC.
• Observed interior of ice machine dirty with slime build-up.
• Observed interior of microwave dirty with dried food debris.
• As noted on previous inspection, observed potentially hazardous foods being held above 41 degrees in grill drawers.
• Observed scoop handle stored in ice in bar area. Went over proper in-use utensil storage with PIC.
• Observed glasses, dishes and pans being stacked wet in back storage and in bar area. Went over air drying procedure with PIC
• Observed plates not being stored face down to prevent contamination. Went over proper storage with PIC.
• As noted on previous inspection, observed employees not changing gloves after changing tasks, after leaving kitchen area, or after using sanitizer rags.
