LakePoint B3 Running Event To Feature Beer, BBQ, Block Party

On Saturday, Nov. 8, LakePoint Sporting Community will host the inaugural B3 Running event, which will include a 10K, 5K and first-ever 0.0 block party.

Following the fun run — or walk for those who prefer not to race — guests will enjoy beer, barbecue and a block party with live music. The 10K will start at 10 a.m. and the 5K will follow at 10:30 a.m.

Those who simply wish to exercise their bellies with beer and BBQ can sign up for the 0.0, a.k.a. the block party, with a special T-shirt to prove they didn’t run. The block party will open at 11 a.m.

The run will start and finish at LakePoint’s Rally Volleyball Beach Pavilion on LakePoint Way in Emerson.

The party will take place just down the road from the pavilion at the multipurpose fields. Early bird prices, which can be purchased through Oct.1 are $45 for the 10K, $40 for the 5K and $25 for the 0.0/block party only.

The B3 Running event is part of LakePoint’s Endurance Race Series. Upcoming events include the Race of Faith Christian Marathon & Half Marathon and Silent Night 10K & 5K on the evening of Dec. 6; and the Wine + Chocolate Half Marathon, 10k and 5k on Feb. 14, 2015.
