Linell B. Renfroe-Ellis, 69, Loved to Cook and Serve Community

Funeral services for the Cartersville resident will be held on Thursday at New Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Kingston.

Ms. Linell B. Renfroe-Ellis, 69, of Cartersville, Georgia, passed on Friday, August 21, 2015. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015 at 11 a.m. at New Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 85 Shaw Street, Kingston, Georgia. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ms. Linell B. Renfroe-Ellis was born on March 16, 1946, in Macon (Bibb County), Georgia, to the late Willie B. Renfroe and Evelyn Smith Renfroe. She attended public school in the city of Macon and graduated from Ballard Hudson High School in 1963. Linell moved to Cartersville, Georgia in 1993, where she met and married Darnell Ellis. She became a lifelong member of his entire family.

Linell loved to cook and she spent her entire career working various food service jobs, as well as serving as a dietician at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana, Head Start for Children in Swainsboro, Georgia, and Felton Manor Personal Care Home in Cartersville, Georgia. Linell also loved serving her community. She enjoyed doing gift wrapping at Belk’s Department store during the Christmas season, as well as Toys for Tots. She enjoyed loving and caring for people.

On Friday, August 21, 2015, Linell departed this life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Evelyn Renfroe, and 10 siblings.

Linell leaves to cherish her memory five siblings, Jean Renfroe of Cartersville, Georgia, Elizabeth (Jesse) Barr of Lafayette, Indiana, Frank (Arleta) Renfroe of Lafayette, Indiana, Ernest Renfroe of Cartersville, Georgia, and Patrick O. Renfroe of Lafayette, Indiana; special niece, Belinda Morris; special nephews, Daryl (Karen) Sullivan and Andy Sullivan; God-children, Daryl Lanier Sullivan, Logan Hwei Sullivan, and Deyton Luke Sullivan; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
