Loudermilk Wins Award For Advancing "Strong, Conservative Agenda"

The American Conservative Union recognized U.S. Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-Cassville) on Wednesday at a ceremony held at the U.S. Capitol.

CARTERSVILLE, GA -- The American Conservative Union recognized Rep. Barry Loudermilk at a ceremony held Wednesday at the U.S. Capitol for his support of legislation that "advances a strong conservative agenda," his office said.

Rep. Loudermilk, who resides in Cassville, received the Conservative Excellence Award for his 96-percent rating on the organization's 2015 congressional scorecard.

“The success of our nation – and the future of our children and grandchildren – depends upon policies that champion the principles of liberty, personal responsibility, and limited government,” said Rep. Loudermilk. “I would like to thank the ACU for this recognition, and for their steadfast commitment to preserving our constitutionally protected rights and individual liberties.”

ACU Chairman Matt Schlapp added Loudermilk is a "man of strong faith" who has served as an effective voice for voters in Georgia's 11th Congressional District.

“He understands America's founding principles enshrined in the Constitution, that the government should only do what it must, and that the American people are in charge.," Schlapp added. "Whether it is defending life, supporting a strong family, strengthening our national security or fighting President (Barack) Obama, Barry Loudermilk is an ally in the fight for conservative values.”
