Man, 19, Charged In Teen's Shooting Death
Bartow County teenager Kyle Sheriff, 17, died Oct. 11 from a gunshot wound he sustained to the abdomen.
ACWORTH, GA -- A 19-year-old Acworth man has been charged with the shooting death of a 17-year-old teenager.
Bartow County sheriff's investigators have arrested Shady Al-Hussien and charged him with involuntary manslaughter, pointing a pistol at another person and tampering with evidence, spokesperson Sgt. Jonathan Rogers said.
Al-Hussien is accused of pulling the trigger on a firearm that killed 17-year-old Kyle Sheriff, and was arrested at a home in the 6800 block of Mohawk Drive near Acworth.

He was booked into the Bartow County Jail early Friday evening.
Deputies with the sheriff's office and emergency personnel responded around 5 p.m. Oct. 11 to a home in the 4800 block of Ryan Road near Acworth.

Crews arrived on the scene to find the 17-year-old in the home "with a gunshot wound to the abdomen," Rogers previously told Patch.
Sheriff was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead from his injuries. Rogers said Al-Hussien and Sheriff were friends, and "it is believed that the shooting was accidental."
Al-Hussien remains held at the jail without bond.
