Man Accused of Stealing Girlfriend's Debit Card To Make Pawn Shop Purchases

The Bartow County Sheriff's Office has charged a Cartersville resident with a total of 6 counts related to alleged financial thefts.

The Bartow County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Cartersville man in connection with several alleged financial thefts that occurred earlier this year.

Deputies have charged Dominique Kente Gainor, 36, with three counts of financial card transaction theft and three counts of financial card transaction fraud, Sheriff Clark Millsap said on Monday.

According to the sheriff office’s press release, Gainor is accused of using a stolen debit card at an area pawn shop to “obtain monies fraudulently.”

He is accused of taking and using his girlfriend’s debit card without permission, and taking items to an area pawn shop. Gainor would obtain money from pawning those items, and he would allegedly use the debit card to purchase the items from the shops, the sheriff’s office said.

Gainor is being held at the Bartow County Jail on a $15,000 bond.
