Man Accused of Taking Gun From Cartersville Pawn Shop

The firearm was allegedly stolen from a display case on Tuesday at Elite Pawn and Sales on North Tennessee Street.

The Bartow County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to help them identify a man who allegedly stole a firearm on display at a pawn shop.

According to an incident report released by the agency, an employee at Elite Pawn and Sales on North Tennessee Street in unincorporated Cartersville called deputies to the store around 12:26 p.m. Tuesday, May 5.

The woman told deputies the man came into the store and approached the counter where the firearm — a Hi-Point 9MM — was sitting in a display box.

The man ”looks around and when no one is watching removes the gun and exits the store,” according to the report.
