Man Cutting Tree Injured By Falling Limb In Cartersville

The 33-year-old male complained of rib and abdominal pain following the accident.

CARTERSVILLE, GA -- A man cutting down a tree in Bartow County was injured when a limb fell on him Thursday afternoon.

Crews with Bartow County EMS responded to a call of a traumatic injury in the vicinity of 850 Burnt Hickory Road in Cartersville.

They arrived on the scene to find a 33-year-old male, who was conscious and alert, complaining of rib and abdominal pain.

Bartow EMS spokesperson Brad Cothran said the patient was cutting a tree when it got caught against another tree. That forced a tree limb to break and fall onto the man.

First responders evaluated the patient, who was subsequently transported to Cartersville Medical Center for follow-up treatment.
