UPDATE: Police Arrest Suspect in Cartersville Shooting Death
Antavious Deshaun Linley, 24, of Kingston has been charged with murder in the shooting death of Actavious Tahji Thompson.

Cartersville police have arrested Antavious Deshaun Linley, 24, of Kingston in the shooting death of 24-year-old Actavious Tahji Thompson of Cartersville. Cartersville police Major Mark Camp said Linley has been charged with murder in the incident, which occurred late Saturday evening.

Investigators with the Cartersville Police Department are investigating the death of a man whose body was found late Saturday evening.
Officers responded to a shots fired call around 11 p.m. Feb. 14 near 21 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and found the body of 24 year-old Actavious Tahji Thompson of Cartersville in the backyard of the residence, said police spokesperson Major Mark Camp.

Camp added Thompson had been shot. According to an incident report released by the agency, Thompson was found lying on the ground with a gunshot wound on the left side of his head near his temple. A small black revolver was near the body, the report states.
