Man Found On Roof Of Cartersville Waffle House

A Bartow EMS spokesperson said the man was found with an altered mental state and was transported to the hospital for evaluation.

CARTERSVILLE, GA — Bartow County EMS crews responded Sunday morning to a call of a man on top of a roof at a local restaurant.

Crews were dispatched to a call of the discovery at Waffle House at 1355 Joe Frank Harris Parkway in Cartersville. Bartow EMS spokesperson Brad Cothran said the man was found on the roof "with an altered mental status."

Bartow County sheriff's deputies and firefighters also responded, and a fire department ladder truck was used to help deputies remove the man from the roof.

Emergency medical personnel assessed the man for any injuries and found there to be none. He was taken to Cartersville Medical Center for evaluation.

No other details, including how long the man was on the roof and whether he will face any charges, have not been made available. Patch has reached out to the Bartow County Sheriff's Office for additional information.
