Police Make Arrest In Cartersville Double Shooting
BREAKING: The shooting suspect, who is charged with murder and aggravated assault, was arrested Thursday evening in Rome.

CARTERSVILLE, GA — A 27-year-old Floyd County man has been arrested in connection to the double shooting that left one man dead and another injured Thursday afternoon in Bartow County. The Bartow County Sheriff's Office has charged Justin Lee Wade of Rome with murder and aggravated assault, the agency said late Thursday evening.
Wade was arrested in Floyd County around 8 p.m. Thursday and will be transported to the Bartow County Jail, sheriff's office spokesperson Sgt. Jonathan Rogers said. Wade is accused of shooting both men on May 17 at a home on Franklin Drive, which is located off Cassville Road north of West Iron Belt Road in Cartersville.

Deputies and EMS personnel arrived to find one man dead outside the residence. The other male shooting victim fled the scene, but was found a short time later. He was taken to an area hospital where he was treated for his injuries.
"It is still unknown what led to the shooting, and it is still considered an active investigation," Sgt. Rogers added.
