Man Hit By Vehicle In Cartersville

The accident was reported Sunday evening on Mission Road at Robinson Loop.

CARTERSVILLE, GA -- A 30-year-old man was transported to a trauma center after he was struck by a vehicle Sunday evening in Cartersville.

Bartow County EMS personnel were dispatched to a call of the accident on Mission Road at Robinson Loop, which is west of Burnt Hickory Road. Once they arrived on the scene, they found the male suffering from various injuries in connection to the collision.

Crews assessed the victim, who was found to have a fractured collar bone and a "flail chest," Bartow EMS spokesperson Brad Cothran said. An air life helicopter was requested for transport while the crews began advance life-saving measures on the patient.
