Man Suffers Crushed Ankle, Fractured Leg in Accident

Cartersville, GA -- A man in his 20s suffered injuries to his leg Monday morning in an accident at Trinity Rail in Cartersville.

Crews with Bartow County Emergency Medical Services responded to the call on Jan. 18 at the facility, which is located at 190 Old Grassdale Road NE.

Crews arrived and were told that the man ”had a piece of equipment fall and strike his legs,” said EMS spokesperson Brad Cothran.

Cothran said crews discovered the victim had fractures to his lower leg and a “crushed” ankle. He was transported to Floyd Medical Center for treatment.
