Man's Body Found In Allatoona Lake
BREAKING: Bartow County crews made the discovery Wednesday afternoon at Allatoona Landing Marine & Resort in Cartersville.
CARTERSVILLE, GA -- The Bartow County Sheriff's Office is investigating the apparent drowning death of a 24-year-old male in Allatoona Lake.
Deputies and detectives with the agency were dispatched around 12:45 p.m. to Allatoona Landing Marine & Resort at 24 Allatoona Road SE in Cartersville to a call of a possible drowning.
The call to Bartow County 911 dispatchers was made by an individual who "witnessed the victim floating in nearby shallow water wearing shorts and a life jacket," the sheriff's office said.

That victim has been identified as a 24-year-old male. However, the identity of the man is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
