In Memory: Christopher Lee Cox, 40, Devoted Family Man

Mr. Christopher Lee Cox, 40, of Kingston, died on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016. He was born Feb. 8, 1975 in Cartersville and was the son of Jimmy Cox and Nancy Fay Lee.

Mr. Cox attended New Covenant Baptist Church Rossville and loved to read his Bible. Christopher was a devoted family man with a great sense of humor who especially loved his grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing and playing video games.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa Cox of Kingston; mother, Nancy Fay Lee of Adairsville; father, Jimmy Cox of Euharlee; daughter, Amy Blackmon of Rossville; sons, Christopher Blackmon and Shane Blackmon both of Cartersville, Eric Blackmon (Jessica) of White, Tyler Cox (Courtney) of Adairsville; 15 grandchildren; sisters, Christy Richardson and Jesse Cox both of Euharlee; brothers, James Cox and Kenneth Cox, both of Adairsville.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2016, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with the Reverend Mike Gregg officiating.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from noon to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service.
