In Memory: Christy Payne, 42, Loved Hiking, Reading And Cooking

Christy Hufstetler Payne, 42, of Euharlee, died Thursday, July 23, 2015. Born April 24, 1973 in Aragon, GA, she was the daughter of Robert Johnny Hufstetler and Sandra Marie Frix.

Mrs. Payne was a member of Glade Baptist Church in Rydal. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her dogs. She loved hiking, reading and cooking for her family. She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Ruby Waits Hufstetler.

Survivors include her husband, James “Jim Ed” Payne of Euharlee; sons Johnny James “J.J.” Payne of Euharlee, William Thomas “Tommy” Payne (Krista) and her grandson Jax Payne of Euharlee; mother, Sandy Frix of Lookout Mountain; father, Johnny Hufstetler of Taylorsville; sister, Mandy Hufstetler Crone (Shane) and her only nephew Tyler Crone of Euharlee; brother, Robby Hufstetler of Hapeville, GA; maternal grandparents, Earnest and Nell Frix of Cartersville; paternal grandfather, Robert Hufstetler of Taylorsville; several aunts and uncles.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 27 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home.
