Joshua David Murphy, 23, of White, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2016 in Oklahoma. Born in Marietta, Georgia on July 14, 1992, he was the son of Ronald Dean Murphy, Jr. and Timika Dawn Brown Murphy.

Joshua was employed by Red Top Roofing/ R&M Construction. He was a family man, a people pleaser, and outdoorsmen who enjoyed hunting, fishing and wrestling. He had a great sense of humor and he never met a stranger.
Survivors include his father, Ronnie Murphy and fiancé’, Tonya Nelson of Cartersville; his mother, Timika Murphy of Cartersville; his children, Tyler, Milania and Jayden Murphy of Cartersville and Hayden Hillery of Kingston; his fiancee’, Alicia Nizzari; his maternal and paternal grandparents, Darlene Lewis of Cartersville, Lou Lewis of Pennsylvania, Eugene Brown of Cartersville, Elaine Burns and David Burns all of Cartersville; his great-grandmothers, Beulah Brown and Barbara Arp Martin of Cartersville; his sister, Ree Silvers of Adairsville; four brothers, Cole Brown, Austin Murphy, Dacota Murphy of Cartersville and Tommy Silvers of Adairsville; his aunts, Cindy Brown, Dana Sellers and Laura Denham; along with his life-long friends, Vic Beasley, George Chastain, Charles Fowler, Doug Duncan, Michael Hall, Shane Ash, Michael Palmer, Clay Sellers, Corey Ginn, Marliegh Powell, Spencer Kennedy and Makenzie Kennedy.
