In Memory: Kevin Knight, 28, Loved Being a Father to His Son

Editor’s note: the following obituary was submitted by Sosebee Funeral Home in Canton:

Mr. Kevin L. Knight, 28, of Taylorsville passed away Monday, Aug. 3, 2015.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, August 8, 2015 from the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jack Goodwin officiating. Mr. Knight will be cremated following the funeral service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Mr. Knight loved being a father to his 5 year old son. He also enjoyed basketball and football.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Knight and grandmother, Jessie Mae Knight. Survivors include his fiance of 8 years, Kelly Chamberlain of Taylorsville; son, Kevin Lamar Knight, Jr. of Taylorsville; mother and stepfather, Lori (Eulon) Yother of Taylorsville; siblings, Thomas Eugene Knight, Jr., Johnathan Knight, Rhonda Yother, Joshua Knight, Keith Knight and Teannia Martin; grandparents, Sherry and Thomas Chappell of Euharlee.
