In Memory: Robert Harris Jr., 39, U.S. Marine Loved Fishing, Hunting

Mr. Robert Jerry Harris, Jr, age 39, of Cartersville, died on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at Cartersville Medical Center. A native of Bartow County, he was born November 14, 1976 to Delores Dabbs Harris and the late Robert Jerry Harris, Sr.

Robert attended Creekside Fellowship and was employed by ThyssenKrupp. He was a wonderful and devoted father and son and had a very special bond with his parents. He enjoyed watching the history channel, fishing and hunting. He was a veteran having served his country in the United States Marines. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Michael Reinhardt and Johnny Mullins.

Survivors include his wife, Belinda Sky Harris of Cartersville; his mother and step-father, Delores and Glover Tatum of Cartersville; his step-father, David Mullins (Susan) of Dallas; his daughter, Kaleigh Janeen Harris; his son, Michael Devin Kilgore; his sister, Janeen Herlugson (Chris) of Dallas; his brothers, Jerry Carlile of Rome, Johnathan Reinhardt of Dallas, Dakota Mullins of Dallas and Steven Harris of Cartersville; grandmother, Clara Hart, and a special friend, Brandy.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Pastor Michael Abernathy officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Shipp, Steven Harris, Dakota Mullins, Johnathan Reinhardt, Billy Carter and Blaine Thomason.
