Here are the top three stories today in Cartersville:
- A woman is wanted in Bartow County for kidnapping. She took the child from a residence on Sunday and was seen in Stonecrest on Wednesday, but without the child. It is reported that he woman "is married to the child's father." (11Alive.com WXIA)
- Dr. Lance Barry joins Georgia Highlands College Board of Trustees this year. Dr. Barry is a retired physician and surgeon as well as an Air Force veteran. He joins last year's additions of Dr. Gayland Cooper, Sally Platt and Cindy Williams. (Yahoo News)
- The 2023 budget meeting for Bartow County on Feb. 15 landed on a near $200 million tab. Most of this year's expenses will go to public safety. County administrator Peter Olsen says the budget "is only up 12.5% without the addition of ARPA and Cares Grants." (wbhfradio.org)
