MLK Day 2018: What’s Open, Closed In Bartow County

Federal, state, county and city government offices, the post office, schools and others will have the day off on Monday.

CARTERSVILLE, GA — All local, state and federal government offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 15 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Here's a rundown of what will be closed throughout the county:

  • All Bartow County government offices, except law enforcement and others required for citizen comfort and safety, will be closed Jan. 15. County offices will resume normal operations on Tuesday.
  • Cartersville City and Bartow County schools will also be on holiday for Jan. 15. Georgia Highlands College and Chattahoochee Technical College will also close their campuses for MLK Day.
  • Bartow County Public Library branches will be closed Monday, Jan. 15. They will reopen Tuesday, Jan. 16.
  • Georgia state offices, including driver's services, will be closed Jan. 15.
  • U.S. Postal Service post offices and mail delivery will not operate Jan. 15.
  • City offices, including Adairsville, Cartersville, Euharlee, Emerson, White and Kingston, will be closed Monday and reopen Tuesday.
