Crews with Bartow County Emergency Medical Services on Monday responded to two motorcycle accidents, one of which sent a man to a level-one trauma center.
The first accident occurred along Pine Ridge Road in White. Crews arrived onto the scene to find a 20-year-old man “unconscious and unresponsive,” said Bartow EMS spokesperson Brad Cothran.
Georgia State Patrol spokesperson Tracey Watson said the motorist, who was riding without a helmet, was on the dirt bike when it left the roadway in a curve and overturned.

After evaluation, first responders determined the man had a “closed head injury,” and requested a medical helicopter to transport the patient to a level one trauma center, Cothran added.
The 20-year-old, identified as Rydal resident Erin Evan Cochran, was subsequently flown to Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga where he was treated for “serious” injuries, Watson stated.
