Police Identify Motorcyclist Killed In Bartow Crash
The accident was reported Friday morning on Ga. 140 at Joe Frank Harris Parkway in Adairsville.

ADAIRSVILLE, GA — A motorcycle operator died Friday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Adairsville, the Georgia State Patrol has confirmed.
Bartow County EMS and Fire Department crews were dispatched to the crash around 6:20 a.m. June 8 involving a motorcycle and passenger vehicle on Ga. 140 at Joe Frank Harris Parkway/U.S. 41/Ga. 3.
Crews arrived to find the motorcyclist lying in the roadway with "severe injuries," said Bartow EMS Director Brandon Duncan.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, a passenger vehicle was traveling southbound on U.S. 41/Ga. 3 and was trying to turn left onto Ga. 140 while the motorcycle was going northbound on Ga. 3.

The driver of the passenger car, identified as Sandra Morris, "failed to yield" to the motorcycle and collided with the bike in the intersection, the state patrol said. The vehicle driven by Morris came to a rest in the gore on the eastbound side of Ga. 140 while the motorcycle came to a rest on its side in the intersection.
Justin Holder, 27, the operator of the motorcycle, died following the collision. The accident remains under investigation by the Georgia State Patrol. This is a developing story, so return to Patch for updates.
