Here are the top stories in Cartersville today:
- A 30-year-old Cartersville woman received a murder charge while in Bartow County custody last week. Reports allege that sometime from January 1 - 2 at the Bartow County Sheriff's Office, the accused caused the death of another female inmate by knowingly and intentionally distributing a substance suspected to be fentanyl. The accused was also charged with distribution of a controlled substance. Bartow County Sheriff's Office is still reviewing the incident. (wbhfradio.org)
- According to the AJC, solar power panel manufacturer Qcells is expected to announce expansion plans into Bartow County. In addition to its existing plant in Dalton and another set to open this year, a Bartow plant will be Qcells' second major investment in Northwest Georgia in nine months. (Northwest Georgia News)
