The Women’s Basketball Coaches Association of the National Junior College Athletic Association held its 6th Annual All-Star Weekend this past weekend hosted by Northwest Florida State College in Niceville.

Georgia Highlands College was represented at the event by Coach Brandan Harrell, Gabby Kendall, China Henderson and Aujana Dawkins. Forty student-athletes were selected by a committee of coaches from Division I, Division II, and Division III schools to play in the all-star event.

There were more than 90 nominations for this year’s event.

This marks the third year that Northwest Florida State College has hosted the All-Star Weekend, which also includes a coaches clinic, business meeting and the NJCAA WBB Hall-of-Fame Induction Ceremony.

Henderson did not play in the games but still participated in all other activities including the hall of fame banquet, Coach Harrell said.

“Dawkins and Kendall both played well on the floor and represented GHC well off the floor,” he added.
