Frank McCann was sworn in as the city’s newest police chief Thursday morning at the Cartersville City Council meeting, according to The Daily Tribune News.
McCann replaces Thomas Culpepper, who retired from the post last month. According to the Tribune, McCann has 31 years in law enforcement, 20 of which were served with the Drug Enforcement Administration. He also served as assistant police chief under Culpepper.

Following Culpepper’s retirement announcement, the former chief announced his bid to run for Bartow County sheriff in 2016.
