New Face Joins Bartow-Cartersville Drug Task Force

Cartersville, GA -- A new person has joined the staff of the Bartow-Cartersville Drug Task Force.

Major Jeffrey S. Dalman is the new deputy commander of the task force, Cartersville police spokesperson Lt. Mike Bettikofer said.
His rank with Cartersville police will be major and he will become a member of the agency’s Command Staff.

Dalman has 34 years of law enforcement experience, including serving as a special agent from 1982 to 1986 with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and with the Drug Enforcement Agency from 1986 to 2015.
He ended his career with the DEA as a supervisory special agent.
Dalman has a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Georgia and a master’s degree in public administration from Columbus State University. Along with Atlanta, he’s also worked in cities such as Chicago, Washington, D.C. and Ft. Lauderdale.
“Jeff has a wealth of knowledge and experience in reference to drug law enforcement and internal affairs and is a great addition to the Cartersville Police Department and the Bartow Cartersville Drug Task Force,” Bettikofer added.
The Bartow-Cartersville Drug Task Force was created in February 2008 to aggressively target, arrest and convict any individuals or organizations who possess, distribute, or manufacture illegal drugs in Bartow County as well as organized criminal activity.
