Here are the top three stories today in Cartersville:
- A defendant indicted on 17 charges, has had 16 of those charges dismissed. In 2016, his vehicle collided with another, which caused that vehicle to strike another vehicle and a man was ejected. The victim that was ejected lost a leg due to the accident. The defendant will receive no jail time, has to pay a $500 fine and will receive probation for six months. - Five of Georgia's hospitals are being recognized for patient safety. Awards for "Patient Safety Excellence and America's 250 Best Hospitals" were given by Healthgrades to our own Piedmont Cartersville Medical Center.
