Pedestrian Hit By Vehicle in Adairsville (UPDATED)
The man was struck Saturday evening along U.S. 41/Joe Frank Harris Parkway at Spring Creek Circle.

ADAIRSVILLE, GA -- A pedestrian was rushed to an area hospital Saturday evening after he was hit by a vehicle in Adairsville.
According to Bartow County EMS spokesperson Brad Cothran, the collision happened Dec. 17 on U.S. 41/Joe Frank Harris Parkway at Spring Creek Circle.
A trooper with the Georgia State Patrol was dispatched to the crash around 6:26 p.m. According to the driver of the car, "the pedestrian was in the middle of the southbound lane of travel, wearing all dark clothing."

The male patient, who was suffering from "numerous trauma injuries," was transported to Floyd Medical Center for treatment, Cothran stated.
The man's name has not been released at this time due to the lack of identification on him at the time of the collision. He is described as a white male with brown hair, in his 20's or 30's and has no distinguishing marks or tattoos.

"Clothing worn at the time of the crash was a mixture of red and black with matching socks and shoes, also red and black," the Georgia State Patrol added.
