  1. Bartow County School System's STEM received a significant boost with a $10,000 donation from Pilot Travel Center. Pilot's Cartersville location at 968 Cassville-White Road, was the site of the official check presentation on Aug. 9. (Subscription: The Daily Tribune)
  2. Trevor Lawrence, the Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback and Cartersville native, will get an opportunity to see some familiar sights, and even potentially spend time in his hometown.   3. Bartow County's unemployment rate of 2.5% in July, is down five-tenths of a percent over the month. Last year, the rate of unemployment was 3.5%.
