Police ID Woman Killed In 3-Vehicle Crash In Cartersville

The Georgia State Patrol said the at-fault driver was killed in the collision.

CARTERSVILLE, GA — The Georgia State Patrol has released the identities of the woman who died and the two other motorists who were injured Friday morning in an accident in Cartersville.

The collision was reported around 10 a.m. April 27 on South Bridge Road near S. Erwin Street.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, the at-fault driver, identified as 27-year-old Ashia Williams of Kingsland, was traveling westbound on South Bridge Road when she failed to maintain her lane, sideswiped another car and collided with another vehicle.

Williams died from injuries sustained in the crash. The two other drivers, Lashawndrea Jones, 20, of Cartersville and Grace Hamner, 17, of Emerson, suffered minor injuries.

Both Jone and Hamner were transported to Cartersville Medical Center for treatment, said Bartow EMS Director Brandon Duncan.
