Polls open Saturday for early voting: Following Wednesday's ruling by Georgia's Supreme Court allowing early voting for Saturday, Bartow County election officials say the polls will be open for voting in the upcoming U.S. Senate runoff election. The elections office located at 1300 Joe Frank Harris Parkway will be open from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
  2. SAFE Program sessions purchased for Bartow County elementary schools: In the Bartow County Board of Education's meeting Nov. 14, SAFE program sessions were purchased for 12 elementary schools. "The SAFE program is designed to educate children on the identification of sexual abuse and empower them with safety strategies," said Jamie Hauskins of the Bartow County School System. Hauskins went on to add that its content is "age-appropriate and varies by grade level." (Subscription: The Daily Tribune News)
