Portion of Highway 113 To Close For Utility Work

CARTERSVILLE, GA -- Water and sewer maintenance on West Avenue/S.R. 113 in Cartersville will force the city to close a portion of the road.

The work will require the city to close the road between Etowah Drive and Henderson Drive.

The closure will begin at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, and truck traffic will be detoured on to South Bridge and Old Mill roads.

All surrounding streets will be accessible, and local residents will have access where needed. Through-traffic will be prohibited, however.

Work is expected to wrap up by 6 a.m. Monday.
