Here are the top three stories today in Cartersville:

1. The city of Cartersville has big plans in mind for Tennessee Street. The city's project involves tackling some of the "negatives" and turning them into positives. (Rome News-Tribune)
2. For two weeks, Kenneth Woods, a public safety officer at Piedmont Cartersville, took care of a Cartersville resident's service dog while he was hospitalized at Piedmont Cartersville for extremely high blood sugar. After the patient was released from the hospital, Woods took the pup back home to his very grateful owner. (Subscription: The Daily Tribune News)
