US. Rep. Barry Loudermilk Wins GOP Primary in 11th Congressional District
The incumbent congressman defeated four Republican challengers in Tuesday's general primary.

U.S. Rep. Barry Loudermilk has won Tuesday's general Republican primary in Georgia's 11th congressional district.
Loudermilk will face Democrat Don Wilson this November in the heavily Republican district.
Loudermilk led the race early as election results came in, and never relinquished his lead over challengers Daniel Cowan, William Llop, Hayden Collins and Billy Davis.

With 66 of 73 precincts reporting, Loudermilk led with 57 percent of the vote, over Cowan with 20 percent, followed by Llop, Collins and Davis.
In other Republican primary news, U.S. Sen. Johnny Isakson easily defeated GOP challengers Derrick Grayson and Mary Kay Bacallao in his bid to win re-election to Congress. Isakson will face a Democrat James Barksdale, who won his party's primary on Tuesday, this fall.
