Radios, Trail Camera Stolen From Cars At Tire Shop

Four unlocked vehicles were entered into at Dallas Highway Tire & Automotive.

CARTERSVILLE, GA — Four vehicles were recently broken into at a tire shop along Highway 61 in Bartow County.

A deputy with the Bartow County Sheriff's Office was dispatched around 1:01 p.m. Wednesday, April 11 to Dallas Highway Tires & Automotive at 539 Dallas Highway SW in Cartersville and met with the business owner.

The owner said he called 9-1-1 after noticing that some of his items were missing, along items belonging to customers who had their cars at the business. According to an incident report shared by the sheriff's office, the owner watched old surveillance footage and observed two male subjects on his property around 1:56 a.m. March 29.

A total of four vehicles were entered into: a 1983 Chevrolet C/K 3500 pickup truck, 2001 Nissan Altima, 2006 Ford Super Duty F-250 and a 1997 Toyota 4Runner. Taken from the vehicles include a passenger side front parking light, a Ford Expedition ignition key, Moultrie AC-40 trail camera, JCV stereo head unit, Pioneer stereo head unit and an Edelbrock 600 CFM carburetor.

The report notes none of the vehicles were forcibly entered, as they were unlocked. The owner was asked to make a copy of the surveillance video to be retrieved by a sheriff's office investigator at a later date.
