Registration Opens For Bartow History Museum Historic 5K
Proceeds from this event will benefit the educational and preservation efforts of the Bartow History and Rose Lawn museums.

CARTERSVILLE, GA -- If you love running and history, then two local museums are organizing a race that will allow you to partake in both hobbies.
Registration is now open for the Bartow History Museum Historic 5K at Rose Lawn, which will be held Saturday, May 6.
This 5K begins at Rose Lawn Museum, a historic Victorian home that once housed Sam Jones, the well-known evangelist. The course meanders through a portion of the historic residential district in Cartersville before ending back at the museum.

The race begins at 8 a.m. with check-in between 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. Pre-registration is $25 and race day registration is $30. Registration includes a T-shirt; however, sizes and quantities are limited.
Those planning to participate can park at the Civic Center at 435 West Main Street or the Bartow County Courthouse at 135 West Cherokee Avenue. Shuttle service is available to transport participants and observers.

After the race, participants are invited to enjoy Rose Lawn’s Annual May Market, a festival that features arts and crafts. In addition, they can show their race day T-shirt to gain entrance into the Bartow History Museum until 5 p.m. the day of the race.
Proceeds from this event will benefit the educational and preservation efforts of the Bartow History museum and Rose Lawn museum.
