The Etch A Sketch® will turns 55 in July, and you can celebrate that milestone by visiting the latest special exhibit at Tellus Science Museum.

Visitors to the museum will be among the first in the country to see the new exhibition, Toys: The Inside Story, which opened at Tellus on Thursday May 21.
Find out about the magic behind the mysterious silver screen and test your own dexterity on a giant Etch A Sketch®. Get hands-on experience with the inner workings of some of the other most beloved toys, including Operation®, Hungry Hungry Hippos® and Jack-in-the-Box.

Toys: The Inside Story includes 13 different hands-on stations illustrating the simple mechanisms commonly found in toys and lets visitors create their own toy-like combinations of gears, pulleys, linkages, cams and circuits.
The exhibition was developed by the Montshire Museum of Science in Norwich, Vermont, with funding from a National Science Foundation grant awarded to seven museums across the country that comprise TEAMS, or Traveling Exhibits at Museums of Science.
