Report: Cartersville Man Shot in Face Inside Bedroom

Detectives with the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office are investigating an incident in which a man said he was shot in the face by an unknown assailant inside his home.
Sheriff’s deputies were called to a home on Bon Aire Street in unincorporated Cartersville just after 9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13.

According to the report, a woman told detectives she received a call from a man who said ”he had been shot in the face.”
The victim told the responding sheriff’s deputy he arrived at his home and an unknown person waiting for him in his bedroom shot him in the face, the report states.

The man, who had a small hole on the left side of his cheek and a swollen jaw, was transported to Floyd Medical Center for treatment.
