Man Found Dead in Cartersville Parking Lot
The body of the victim was found Tuesday morning in the parking lot of the former Woodright Industries.

The Bartow County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the shooting death of a man whose body was found in a parking lot early Tuesday morning.
Deputies and investigators with the agency were dispatched around 6:45 a.m. to 11 Johnson Lane — the location of the former Woodright Industries — in unincorporated Cartersville, Sheriff Clark Millsap said in a press release.

A passing motorist told Bartow County dispatchers the man was “lying in the parking lot” and possibly bleeding. Investigators have identified the victim as Robert Ashley Carr, 36, of White. Carr’s body also had several gunshot wounds, Millsap said.
Carr’s body will be transported to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Crime Lab to determine a cause of death.
