According to the incident report, the woman walked out onto East Felton Road from the Guest House towards Maple Ridge to get some medicine for her child at the big box retailer. However, ”she felt it was too dark, so she turned around and headed back down East Felton Road towards Joe Frank Harris Parkway,” according to the report.

“Prior to passing the Guest House, a male subject attacked her from behind, pushed her to the ground and while holding her head to the ground, he kept screaming at her to give him her wallet,” the deputy wrote in the report.

The alleged victim said the man ran away after taking her purse. She added she did not recognize his voice and was not able to get a good look at his face. She did note he was about 6 feet tall, had an average build and was wearing a dark-colored hoodie and denim jeans.

The woman also said she was unable to tell the ethnicity of her alleged attacker but “believed that he was possibly a light skinned black male.”
