The Bartow County Environmental Health Department conducted food service inspections Aug. 16-23 at the following establishments:

BAMBOO GARDEN (Food Service Inspections)*

• Active managerial control measures are not satisfactory for establishment to be in compliance with code. CA: PIC must always insure that proper separation techniques of potentially hazardous foods are used and that food items are stored at least 6 inches off the floor.
• Interference/obstruction with the inspector's right of entry and access at any reasonable time. CA: Discussed with with PIC about always allowing entry during active hours.
• Hand wash sink not accessible for employee use at all times due to bags obstructing sink. CA: Informed PIC that hand wash sink should be accessible at all times.
• Observed improper separation of raw animal food (chicken could be dragged and dripped on other foods). CA: Informed PIC that proper separation techniques should be used, especially when it comes to raw chicken.
• Observed multiple tongs with built up of grease. CA: Informed PIC that tongs should be cleaned thoroughly.
• Observed food container not properly labeled. CA: Informed PIC that food not stored in it's original container should be labeled with it's common name.
• Observed containers of sauce stored on the floor in the walk-in cooler. CA: Informed PIC that food items should be stored at least 6 inches off the floor.
• No hand washing sign provided at a hand sink used by food employees. CA: Informed PIC that a hand washing sign must be posted at all hand sinks.
• A follow-up inspection will be held on Aug. 26.

• Observed crock pot/steam pot not approved for food service. CA: Told not to use.
• No hot water in facility. CA: Told to correct, will be having meeting to discuss.
