The Bartow County Environmental Health Department conducted food service inspections Nov. 2-9 at the following establishments:

View inspections:November 2, 2016 Score: 88, Grade: B

• Observed employee eating in a food preparation or other restricted area.
• Observed an open beverage container on a food preparation table or over/next to clean equipment/utensils.
• Wet wiping cloth not stored in sanitizing solution between uses.
• Observed in-use utensil stored in standing water less than 135 degrees Fahrenheit.
• As on previous inspection: observed grease accumulated under cooking equipment.
• As on previous inspection: observed broken light shields that need to be replaced.
• Discussed complaint about sanitizing tables properly. Suggested retraining staff to ensure proper sanitation of restaurant.

• Hand wash sink not accessible for employee use at all times, due to large container obstructing the sink. CA: Discussed with PIC about only using hand sink for washing hands and keeping it free from debris to allow continuous access.
• Observed old food stuck to clean dishware/utensils (measuring cup and large whisk). CA: PIC was notified and took dirty dish to dish washer. Corrected On-Site.
• Observed old labels stuck to food containers after cleaning. CA: Discussed with PIC about completely removing labels before cleaning dishes.
• Observed no hand washing sign provided at a hand sink used by food employees. CA: Discussed with having a sign at each sink used for hand washing.
• Observed wet-stacking on multiple clean dishes. PIC was notified of the issue,and voiced that the issue would be corrected.

• Person in charge lacks awareness in key areas of risk factor control (using time temperature as a public health control) or good retail practices for establishment. CA: Persons in charge, managers or CFSM must be properly trained or retrained.
• As observed in last inspection taco shells and chips found stored on top shelf uncovered and subject to contamination. CA: Discussed with PIC about putting bins on a lower level and covered.
• Observed old food stuck to clean dishware/utensils. CA: Observed soil buildup inside ice bin. CA: Discussed with PIC about cleaning frequencies.
• Observed establishment utilizing time as a public health control, frying par-cooked wings, without having written procedures.
• Observed pots pans, cleaning equipment, cleaning chemicals being stored on the floor. CA: Advised PIC that all of theses items should be stored at least 6 inches off the ground.
• Observed accumulation of dust on shelves where pots and pans are stored.CA: Discussed with PIC about cleaning frequencies.
• As observed grease accumulated under hood equipment. CA: Discussed with PIC about cleaning frequencies.
