The Bartow County Environmental Health Department conducted food service inspections July 18-25 at the following establishments.

View inspections: July 23, 2018 Score: 82, Grade: B

  • Observed improper vertical separation of raw animal foods and ready-to-eat foods. Observed ready-to-eat foods stored below and in direct contact of containers next to raw animal foods. CA: PIC moved raw animal foods below ready-to-eat foods and stored all food properly in cold hold drawers.
  • Observed cook handle raw steak then touch spinach. CA: Spinach was discarded, educated PIC on proper separation.
  • Observed potentially hazardous food cold held at greater than 41 degrees Fahrenheit. Observed multiple TCS foods in coolers and ice baths being held between 45-50 degrees. (PIC was able to give specific times of products being brought out and it was less than 2 hours.) CA: TCS foods were re-cooled to 41 degrees and discussed using time as a public health control with PIC.
  • Potentially hazardous food not held at 135 degrees Fahrenheit or above. Observed cooked shrimp at 110 degrees. CA: Shrimp was reheated to 165 degrees, it was less than 2 hours from being originally cooked.
  • Remarks: Discussed proper cooling procedures. Discussed using time as a public health control. Discussed proper date marking when freezing in house made products.
