  • The PIC could not provide documentation or otherwise satisfactorily demonstrate during the inspection, that all food employees and conditional employees are informed of their responsibility to report to management information about their health and activities as it relates to diseases that are transmissible through food. CA: Discussed with PIC about providing documentation stating that food employees were made aware of the employee health policy.
  • Establishment does not have established procedures for employees to follow when responding to vomiting or diarrheal events that involve the discharge of vomitus or fecal matter onto surfaces in the food establishment. CA: Discussed with PIC about providing the correct procedures in order to respond to a vomit or fecal incident.
  • Observed coffee grounds stored uncovered in filters located in a drawer in the front service area (as noted in previous inspection). CA: Informed PIC that coffee grounds needed to be stored covered or in a container.
  • Observed containers of syrup stored on the floor. CA: Informed the PIC that food and food contact items must be stored at least 6 inches off the floor.
  • Observed no copy of latest inspection report. CA: Informed PIC that a current copy of the inspection report must be posted at all times.

King Pizzeria (Food Service Inspections)*
923 JFH PKWY CARTERSVILLE, GA 30120
View inspections: June 21, 2018 Score: 85, Grade: B

  • Observed no paper towels at hand sink near pizza prep. CA: PIC placed paper towels at hand sink.
  • Observed potentially hazardous cooked noodles and pasta held in the facility for more than 24 hours without proper date marking. CA: Noodles and pasta were discarded. Also observed expired BBQ sauce being used in the facility. CA: PIC discarded sauce.
  • Observed wet wiping cloths not stored in sanitizing solution in between uses. CA: PIC stated that she would get sanitizing solution.
  • Observed food debris build up on inside of coolers and on cooler racks. CA: PIC should clean insides of coolers.
  • Observed live flies in kitchen in prep area. CA: PIC should maintain routine pest control.
