Ride Collapses With Children On Board at Bartow County Fair
No passengers were injured, and several adults held the ride up while repairs were made.
CARTERSVILLE, GA -- A ride at the Bartow County Fair nearly collapses Thursday evening in Cartersville.
Several adults in the area swiftly came together and held up the roller coaster while crews repaired the damage, according to a Facebook post made by resident Whitney Castro.
"If it wasn't for some (thinking) quick adults, this would have ended a lot worse," she added.

Fortunately there were no injuries stemming from the incident, said Bartow County Emergency Medical Services spokesperson Brad Cothran.
However, crews did transport one patient to an area hospital due to an incident unrelated to the accident. According to WSB-TV, the ride has been shut down until it passes state inspection.
