Here are the top three stories today in Cartersville:

1. Mac Johnson Road from US 41/411 north to Bishop Road will be closed to through traffic from Monday, October 31 at noon to Monday, November 14 at 5:00 PM. The road work is to improve areas near the new Food City. (WBHF via Facebook)
2. Bartow County Parks and Recreation's 11th annual complimentary Fall Festival will be presented Halloween night from 5 to 8 p.m. at Hamilton Crossing Park. Check out other festivities offered in the county. (Subscription: The Daily Tribune News)
3. At an Oct. 20 meeting, members of the Cartersville City Council approved a motion allowing city officials to enter into negotiations with a developer for a proposed downtown residential project. • The last job fair of the year, the Grow in Bartow Job & Career Fair, is Thursday, November 3, from 12 PM - 4 PM at the Cartersville-Bartow County Chamber of Commerce.
