Robbery, Home Invasion Suspect Arrested in North Carolina
Emery Tejada-Wandique, wanted by Bartow County sheriff's investigators, was arrested at an apartment complex that was under construction.
BARTOW COUNTY, GA -- A man wanted by Bartow County Sheriff's Office investigators on felony charges was arrested last week in a neighboring state.
Emery Tejada-Wandique, 33, was taken into custody around 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16 at an apartment complex in the Carolina Beach area, which is southeast of Wilmington, North Carolina.
Jim Joyner, supervisory inspector with the U.S. Marshal's Office Southeastern Regional Fugitive Task Force, told Patch that Tejada-Wandique was wanted on armed robbery and home invasion charges issued by the sheriff's office.

It's unclear what incident those charges are connected to, and Patch has reached out to the sheriff's office to provide details.
Fugitive Task Force operatives received information that Tejada-Wandique was possibly working at a construction site in the coastal area of the Tar Heel State.

They reached out to their counterparts in Wilmington and those officials began to canvas the area, Joyner said.
Tejada-Wandique was apprehended without incident at an apartment complex that was under construction, Joyner told Patch.
He was transported to New Hanover County Detention Center where he remains until he's extradited back to Bartow County, Joyner said.
