- The Bartow County Board of Elections and Voter Registration met remotely for the regularly scheduled meeting on Dec. 12. The teleconference certified the results of the Dec. 6 runoff election. The total Bartow County turnout for the runoff election equaled roughly 46.7% of all registered voters in the county. "The pace was more frenzied," said Bartow County Elections Supervisor Joseph Kirk, "it definitely took a toll on our employees." (Daily Tribune News)
- The Peach Cobbler Factory has announced a Cartersville location. Grown out of a Nashville-based food truck, the Cartersville site will be at 233 Market Place Blvd with an expected opening in February. A. Dam Food Truck Park & Beer Garden on Ga. 20 will soon be offering a temporary, 40-foot by 100-foot covered ice rink. The targeted opening date is Dec. 22n and running through mid February.
