- Three custom-built 2.5 mm pixel pitch DVLED displays memorialize the automobile industry's history at the new Savoy Automobile Museum in Cartersville. The displays use the latest in DVLED display technology to deliver video content for private events, films and to display messages for sponsors . (Commercial Integrator)
- Senate District 52 race has seen record high spending. At nearly five times the previous record, candidates' expenses top $300,000. As the winner of the Republican primary, Sen. Chuck Hufstetler of Rome, will be the only candidate on the ballot in November. (Northwest Georgia News)
- Shaw Industries has received the GPSC "Best Sustainability by a Manufacturing Company" Award. Shaw is being recognized for reclaiming almost 1 billion pounds of carpet. The company's EcoWorx backed carpet tile, is made in its manufacturing facilities in Adairsville and Cartersville. (Northwest Georgia News)
